An early morning breakfast meeting brought me back to Las Vegas’s newest Strip resort – Fontainebleau. While the property is about as complicated to navigate as it is to spell, I must say it is a beautiful property with excellent restaurants.

Breakfast was had at Vida which is conveniently located adjacent to the casino on the ground level. A vegan egg scramble with a side of English muffin was $21 and worth every penny. I wish I could give you a review of the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes but that will have to be written by one of our younger writers who doesn’t have an overzealous cardiologist and worried wife.

After breakfast, I had some time to kill so ran over to the Rewards Booth to sign up for Fontainebleau Rewards. I didn’t bother with tier matching (I didn’t have my other players club cards with me) but it is offered and worth taking advantage of.

I did, however, get the new member offer which was $15 FREE SLOT PLAY and $15 DINING CREDIT. Both promotional offerings must be used within (4) days of receiving them or they expire. The sign-up process took less than five minutes, and the staff was very friendly.

At this point, I realized I was running short on time and the property is quite large so finding valet was going to take a minute, so my slot strategy shifted from my usual attempt to optimize my time to one of going for a quick win. I put a crisp George in the nearest Lightning game (Corrida de Toros) and selected the $1 denomination at 50 lines which gave me only two chances at a jackpot.

Best strategy? Probably not but exciting, nonetheless. Sadly I left without any winnings but I did earn a few points and will definitely return to Fontainebleau at night when I have more time and eat at Mother Wolf who I hear has the best Cacio e Pepe in town.

Finding my way out of Fontainebleau wasn’t as tough as I thought and it’s good to know that regardless of which valet you drop off your car (North or South Valet) you can pick it up at either location.
